The Power of Direct Investing

Daniel is responsible for the management and strategic development of Crowdberry. He also focuses on growth capital investments and debt financing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He brings over 15 years of industry, M&A and investment banking experience to Crowdberry, where he has completed two dozen transactions with a total value of €1.7 billion. He has worked at NIBC Investment Bank in Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, Kaufman Bros Investment Bank in New York, as well as at Daimler AG and BASF AG. In Slovakia, he co-founded the investment advisory company EWAMCo. Dano studied mathematics, strategy and international management at Comenius University in Bratislava and at Mannheim University in Germany. He completed postgraduate studies in financial management at the Vlerick Management School in Belgium.

Peter has been a Crowdberry partner since January 2018. During that time, he has been actively involved in the strategic direction of the company. He is responsible for the management and development of the Czech office and also for the expansion of investments in the real estate segment. Peter has over 20 years of experience in real estate development and the IT sector. He worked as Director for Central and Eastern Europe at P3 Logistic Parks, where he was responsible for the company’s major expansion in the operational area as well as acquisitions of portfolios worth over €1 billion and more than 20 development projects in four countries for international clients in the automotive, e-commerce and logistics sectors. He also has experience in setting up and managing IT companies providing e-commerce solutions for international clients. Since 2019, he has been a senior advisor to TPG, a global investment firm focused on private equity and real estate investments. Peter graduated in Strategic Management from Comenius University in Bratislava, and is a graduate of the Business Directors program at Cranfield University.

Michal has been involved in the growth and development of Crowdberry since its inception. He has worked in the investment arena for more than 18 years, during which time he led and was involved in more than 70 transactions for over 50 companies. He is currently co-head of the ECSP regulated Crowdberry Investment Platform focused on equity and debt financing for SMEs and real estate. He also leads an investment fund managed by CB Investment Management, a subsidiary of Crowdberry, focused on seed investments in startups and young dynamic companies. He has gained experience on both the investor and founder side. As a member of the investment team, he worked at GCP Gamma Capital Partners, a venture capital fund in Vienna, and as CFO at Opvizor, a software company with operations in Europe and the US. He studied corporate finance and banking at the University of Vienna in Austria.

Michal is responsible for the strategic development as well as the operational management of Crowdberry. He has been working in the field of banking, private equity, consulting and controlling since 2005. He also worked on the establishment of greenfield projects. He gained his first experience in traditional banks such as UniCredit and OTP Bank, working in corporate and project financing. He also held various positions at Erste Group and Raiffeisen Bank, where he helped to build ZUNO internet bank. In addition, he is a co-founder of an international trading company with annual sales of over one million euros. He studied Strategic Management at Comenius University in Bratislava.
