Along with the Central Securities Depository Prague, we are launching DLT - digital investing without borders

In collaboration with the Central Securities Depository Prague (CSDP) we are introducing modern digital investing based on distributed ledger technology (DLT) to the market.

This innovation significantly simplifies financing for SMEs and paves the way for investors to manage their assets more effectively. The main benefits include real-time registration of ownership, a significant reduction in administrative burdens, and the removal of barriers to cross-border investment.

The project is part of the European DLT Pilot scheme, which is closely linked to the European Savings and Investment Union (SIU). The goal of this pan-European initiative is to create a single financial market that will offer individuals better opportunities to grow their savings and make it easier for companies to access capital. Czech and Slovak companies can thus raise capital from private investors, for example from the Netherlands, while domestic investors can easily and fully digitally invest in Poland, for instance.

With this step, we rank among the pioneers of DLT technology in the field of direct investments in Czech and Slovak companies and real estate. As the first investment platform in the region (in Europe), we offer this custody service with a complete infrastructure. In cooperation with CSDP and its institutional backing, a modern private capital market is emerging with transparent, fast, and cost-effective operations.

First in the world

A key partner is the Central Securities Depository in Prague (CSDP) which, as a subsidiary of the Prague Stock Exchange, became the first securities depository in Europe and the world to obtain a DLT Pilot license. The use of DLT technology with R3 Corda software enables a fully digitized and immutable process for the registration and transfer of properly book-entry shares and bonds.

For investors, this means the end of paperwork and powers of attorney - everything takes place online. Furthermore, the technology allows investors to purchase a stake in a foreign company directly through their account at CSDP without having to open an account at a foreign bank or with a securities broker.

The implementation of DLT technology is a significant milestone in the modernization of the capital market. Our collaboration with Crowdberry demonstrates how innovative technological solutions can be integrated with traditional market infrastructure to provide both investors and issuers with more efficient digital services. We are convinced that this model will play a key role in the further development of European private capital markets,” said Ondřej Dusílek, CEO of the Central Securities Depository Prague.
