Jan Rovný joins Crowdberry’s real estate team

In December 2021, we strengthened our real estate investment team with the addition of another experienced manager, Jan Rovný. Jan has eight years of experience in the area of corporate finance with a focus on consulting on the sale and purchase of companies, properties and project investments. At Crowdberry, he will be involved in transactions, fundraising and project financing in the property segment, focusing primarily on the company’s real estate fund, CB Property Investors.

On joining Crowdberry, Jan told us: “I see Crowdberry as a unique project connecting investors with interesting investment opportunities and talented people. I am looking forward to being able to use my experience in transaction consulting and development here. There is a great team of people here and I am glad to help Crowdberry in the further develop of the real estate segment.”

Jan Rovný comes to us from Urban Developers and Investors, where he was responsible for new investments and the financing of development projects in Central Europe. Prior to that, he worked at Patria, where he was involved in several large sales and acquisitions of companies in Central and Eastern Europe. He was also responsible for the development of the Profireal group in Southeast Asia. Among other work, he served as an advisor on two successful IPOs on the Prague Stock Exchange.

Peter Bečár, partner at Crowdberry, commented on the expansion of the real estate team: “I am pleased that Jan has decided to join our team. CB Property Investors is preparing several new investments in the area of residential and industrial development, and I have no doubt that, thanks to his experience, Jan will help us significantly with their implementation."

The objective of the CB Property Investors fund is to enable people to invest in selected opportunities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It provides investors with the opportunity to increase the value of their capital in projects that were previously available only to professional developers.
