Crowdberry’s first credit investment opportunity for Slovakia’s Pohoda Festival, in the form of a secured loan with an interest rate of 9.7%, paid semi-annually, and a maturity of up to three years, has now reached its target. Dozens of investors provided the music festival with loans totalling €500,000. Due to the high level of interest, we are keeping the campaign open in what is called an overfunding option, while at the same time lowering the minimum investment amount for the other loan campaigns.

"Debt crowdinvesting is lending to a company at interest. It gives investors lower risk, fixed maturity and priority in payout compared to equity crowdinvesting (growth equity), where the investor acquires ownership (stake) in the company. In the case of debt financing, the investor can obtain guarantees in the form of collateral for the loan," explains Dano Gašpar, managing partner at Crowdberry.

This type of secured financing offers a higher interest rate than what investors typically get from bonds, banks or savings accounts. Investors receive regular repayments of capital and interest.
